Keep notes on a student's history记录学生的历史与备注
One stream on the profile tells the student's story — every status change with its reason, and notes filed under the moment they are about.档案上只有一条时间线讲完学生的故事——每一次状态变化连同原因,备注归在它所属的那个时刻之下。

A student's story used to be told twice on their profile: a Remarks notebook and a separate timeline of status changes, each with its own one-line comment, neither able to see the other. They are now one stream — History & Notes — newest first.
What is in the stream
- Every status change — signed up for a trial, attended, activated, frozen, unfrozen, stopped, reactivated — with the date it happened.
- The reason and the ratings on any exit, shown right there rather than collected once and never mentioned again.
- Notes, either threaded under the event they are about or standing on their own by date, for the "Photo and cert done" kind of entry that belongs to no particular moment.
Everything staff write about a child lands here
There is one place notes live now, whichever screen they were typed on. A note added from the daily list while closing a task, the reason typed when a trial declines, a line added from the Stopped Students page, a note on the profile — all the same thread, in date order, each saying who wrote it.
It used to be three or four separate stores that could not see each other: the daily-list note lived on the task, the Stopped list read the newest note of any kind, and a decline copied one sentence into three different places. Which meant the honest answer to *"what do we know about this family?"* depended on which screen you happened to open.
Add a note to any moment
Every event offers Add note — not only the exits. A family coming back, or signing up for a trial, used to have nowhere to record why; now the note hangs off that event and stays with it.
A note is dated for when the thing happened, not when you typed it. A call taken last month and written up today lands where it happened in the history, not at the top of it. The date defaults to today, so change it when you are catching up.
Deleting an event never deletes what someone wrote about it; the note simply stands on its own again.
Correct an exit record
The reason typed in ten seconds at the counter is rarely the one the follow-up call turns up. Every stop, trial decline and freeze in the stream carries Correct this, which reopens the reason list and the ratings so the record says what actually happened. Corrections change the report, so a stopped list whose reasons were all "Other" on the day can still become useful a week later.
Feedback is a different thing
Log Feedback on the profile opens the same open-ended form a parent can fill in from their portal — a recommendation score, five ratings, a comment — for when a family tells you something in person. It is about the *family* and belongs to no event; a stop reason is about one *departure*. Keep them apart and both reports stay honest. See Hear what parents really think.
